Hiring after a record
We hire contractors with prior convictions and look at applications individually. A felony record does not automatically disqualify someone from roadside or tow contract work in our network. Several current operators came in through this path. What matters more than the record itself is what came after it.
What we look at
Time since the conviction. What the conviction was for. Current state of any required licensing (some states bar locksmith licensing after specific offenses; tow operator licensing has its own background checks). Driving record over the last 24 months. Current vehicle insurance status. Whether the contractor has been doing related work since (any roadside, towing, mobile mechanic, or fleet driving experience is read as a positive signal).
What disqualifies regardless of timeframe
Active warrants. Recent convictions involving customer property or violence. Current revocation of the state license required for the work the contractor is applying for. These are not appeals we work through.
How to frame the application
Email careers@24hrcarunlocking.com. Mention in the first line that you are applying under the second-chance hiring program so the right reviewer reads the application. Be direct about the record (what, when, current status). Include your city, the vehicle you would operate, current licensing and insurance status, and any prior roadside, tow, or mechanical experience. A short note on what changed and what you have been doing since is useful but not required.
We do not promise acceptance. We do promise that the application gets read and considered on its specifics rather than filtered out at the start.
